ajda the turkish queen
Ajda is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist living and working in the Boston area. Originally from Houston, Texas, she has been performing publicly since 1997. Her current focus lies with her band Turkish Queen and solo endeavors. She has been a collaborator in bands of various styles ranging from goth rock to cabaret. She has performed extensively in a live setting, as well as on record. Ajda has recorded with artists and composers of diverse styles, from electronic music and pop to modern classical. She takes inspiration from such artists as Natacha Atlas, Elizabeth Fraser, Anna Homler, Ute Lemper, Siouxsie Sioux, Kristin Hersh, as well as the lonesome voices of Turkish muezzins. Ajda current setup is an amalgamation of acoustic, electric, and electronic instruments and devices, as well as her voice, which she also considers an instrument. Ajda feels being raised by a Turkish mother and American father, and growing up in Texas have given her an unusual perspective and been of significant influence in her music. Visit her homepage.

Christy is a photographer and musician from the Boston area. She played bass in the band ceiling and developed a passion for playing guitar which has lead to various collaborations with local musicians, a solo project, and her new band thera. Karen is a classically trained cellist who creates soundscapes using cello, loops, electronic effects, and other objects. She has contributed her electronically altered cello samples to many recording artists around the world, and plays solo under the name Wisteriax. kris thompson
Kris Thompson has been involved in audio expression for longer than is deemed prudent to divulge. Over the millenia, he's both scuffled with and played nicely with garage rock, experimental, ambient, space rock, and psychedelic music. His current preferred instrument is theremin, but he's also vocalized & played bass, synth, and electric organ. Current and past groups include The Lothars, Concord Ballet Orchestra Players and Dear Old Stockholm Syndrome; past ones include Abunai!, Nisi Period, Jasmine Love Bomb, and The Prefab Messiahs.
